I am the Race Director for the 5K Irish Jig Jog. The race originally began in 2007 as a 5K Run/Walk. In 2010, the title was changed and the date was moved to the weekend of St. Patrick's Day to give residents something healthy to do on the weekend of St. Patricks Day. I've been managing special events for 5 years with Silver Spring Township Parks and Recreation.
